Experience the Icelandic horse tradition on a small farm, located just 20 minutes from downtown Reykjavik. Despite being so close to the city, you will feel like you are deep in the countryside when you arrive at the farm. There just a small number of horses here and tours are always operated just for you and your private group, so that they have an intimate, personal and authentic feel.
We will take you on a horse riding tour to mosfellsdale, where you can admire the scenery while spending time with our friendly horses. As the tour is private it will only be you and your group along with the tour guide. Our tours start at the stable preparing you and the horse for the ride. Then we will head out, exploring the beautiful nature in our area. Whether you are an intermediate or an experienced rider, our guides will tailor the tour to your individual needs. From mounting and dismounting to mastering the basic of riding gaits, you'll gain confidence in the saddle while building a solid understanding of proper riding techniques. Our riding tours are designed to not only enhance your riding abilities but also to provide a unique and immersive experience in nature, enjoying the scenic vistas of our area. The total riding time varies a little bit depending on your riding level. You can expect the tour to take around 3 hours. Total time from arrival to departure is around 4 hours.
