Highlights
Located within the Ocean Expo Park, the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is home to the world's second largest aquarium tank. Spread out over its four floors are 77 tanks with more than 26,000 marine animals. Look down into the large, open Coral Sea Tank on the fourth floor, and reach out to varieties of seashells at the Touch Pool on the third floor. The route through the aquarium then leads past the Kuroshio Tank, which lets you see whale sharks and manta rays through a large acrylic panel.

Collection of ticket is on the way to Aquarium, could spend some time walking around Umakiji Market. Ticket collection was fairly quick. Just approach the counter.

Best aquarium is a must-visit tourist destination in Okinawa. Do set aside time and spend at least half a day there.

Did not realize that we have to exchange the aquarium voucher in another building that is 4km away from the aquarium. Very inconvenient for us who didn’t have car (rental) of our own. I ended up re-purchase the aquarium ticket in the venue. 🫤
The aquarium itself is good. Unfortunately, as usual with many famous tourist spots, it was very crowded.
