Our experience begins by leaving from the city of Mendoza to the Cordón del Plata Protected Natural Area, surrounded by peaks with an average height above 5000 m above sea level. The area is better known as Vallecitos. Once we get out of the vehicles, we begin to walk along the path that is home to rich vegetation and native fauna. The gentle ascent will take us to the top of Arenales, our objective. Once at the summit we will have the opportunity to observe the Potrerillos lake on one side and on the other the majestic silhouettes of Cerro Plata, Vallecitos, Rincón and many others. After the well-deserved rest, the “rigorous” summit photos and enjoying a delicious box lunch, we will descend to the vehicles to begin the return to the city of Mendoza.
