I received an email a few days before the booked collection date that had collection details both in English and Japanese. This was very useful as I don't speak Japanese and being able to present a printed copy of the email was helpful. Sim only required a restart of my ipad to connect. Browsing, emails and messaging without any problems.
Changing the SIM card is quite easy. Just need to ask the airport staff where is JAL ABC Counter and they will direct you to the location. Upon receiving the SIM card, you need to follow exactly the instructions given and you are good to go.
Airport pickup was fast and easy. Installation is also easy. Just follow the instructions from the packet. Signal is strong. I did not experience any problems with the signal in Tokyo and areas outside.
Works well in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Nara! But after the kids stream video for abt 10 mins, the internet speed slows down.
Easy to collect at Haneda airport. Need to follow the instructions to get connected that are a little complicated but once connected has worked well including hotspotting a second phone with no apparent loss of signal.
