The Rock Viewpoint opens the doors to the Phou Hin Boun National Protected Area, an uncharted world of ancient karstic forests, breath-taking views, and endemic wildlife in Central Laos. The viewpoint, known as “The Peak of the loop” is a must stop on the Thakek Loop that also acts as a tourist information centre for all visitors in Khammouane Province. Whether having a coffee at the Coffee Bar, delicious meal at the Khob Chai Deu restaurant or an incredible adventure is what you seek, the stunning views are assured!

12 hoursAdmission Ticket IncludedOur driver will meet and greet you at your hotel or guesthouse in Vientiane at 7am and travel by private vehicle to The Rock Viewpoint, the journey takes around 5 to 6 hours. Lunch will be served at Khop Chai Deu @ Viewpoint Restaurant. After lunch, you will check into your capsule and change/refresh. In the late afternoon, you will experience the Highlights of The Rock for yourself! This experience is perfect for those who want to enjoy the highlights of the Protected Area. Accessible for almost everybody, it is recommended for families and friends. Start the tour with an epic zip line, flying across the valley of this stunning landscape, to the thrilling circuit of via ferata, suspended bridges, zip lines and our famous spider net. The trip ends with an incredible fly across the rock formations on the final zip line back to the Phou Pha Marn visitor centre. Half Day kayaking on Nam Hin Boun River

12 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeThe trip will start from The Rock Viewpoint by truck to a small village by the Him Boun River. It will take around 45 min to reach our destination. In the village, your guide will provide safety instructions before we start kayaking downstream. We will see buffalos swimming in the river and green gardens on the river banks. Along the way, you will see an old village that had to be demolished for the creation of a new dam. The tour will end at Ban Na Phuauk, and from there you will get a transfer back to The Rock Viewpoint. After lunch, we will transfer you back to Vientiane.
