Highlights

Izta Popo National Park has 2 volcanoes in the same site. We have designed hiking routes so you can enjoy the incredible views of the inactive volcano Iztaccíhuatl and the active volcano Popocatépetl. Our local guide will explain the flora and fauna of the place. Live and breathe the pure air at about 3,600 m a.s.l. and 4,500 m a.s.l. It is an excellent place to share a wonderful experience alone, with friends or family. The tour includes round-trip transportation.
Choose between:
Level 1: 8–9 km, from 3,600 to 3,980 m a.s.l. Shortest route, with wide views of Iztaccíhuatl and Popocatépetl. Approximately 4 km of uphill and 4 km of downhill.
Level 2: 13–14 km, from 3,600 to 3,960 m a.s.l. Same initial climb of Level 1 and then mainly descent between forest, springs, and waterfall.
Level 3: 7 km, from 3,970 to 4,500 m a.s.l. More demanding due to the altitude and rocky terrain. There is sand and loose stone; we recommend footwear with a good sole.
The times vary according to the pace and condition of the group.
