Bluey’s World Brisbane Review: Tail Wagging Fun for All Ages

Joel Conceicao

Last updated: Nov 18, 20256 minutes

Two dark-skinned children reaching out and posing with Bluey and Bingo character performers in front of a replica of the Heeler Home at Bluey's World in Brisbane, Queensland.

It's only fitting that the city that gave birth to the TV phenomenon Bluey is now home to its first "theme park."

One of the rare shows that kids of all ages love (and that parents are happy to watch too), Bluey's World set in Brisbane, Queensland, is a must-visit.

After all, 35 billion minutes of Bluey episodes were watched in the US alone!

So if you're planning a trip to Brisbane anytime soon, this place has to be numero uno on your itinerary.

Here's everything you can expect from this real-life interactive experience:

1. What to Expect When You Visit Bluey's World in Brisbane

First Up, What is Bluey's World?

Well, Bluey's World isn't exactly an "amusement park" or a typical attraction, per se.

You won't find tacky "rides" or rollercoasters here - that wouldn't be true to what defines Bluey, in any case.

Think of Bluey's World more as an immersive experience that transports you into its playful and hilarious world.

It's a space where you'll feel like you're experiencing the episodes firsthand, hanging out with Bluey in real life.

Parents who have binge-watched along with their kids - you'll know exactly what we mean.

As for what the space actually is, Bluey's World is a custom-built pavilion inside Northshore Pavilion in Brisbane.

It's modelled after the Heeler home, backyard and all.

One thing's for certain: attention to detail is king here.

Everything from the wheelie bins to the stained-glass bay window is spot on.

That said, there's still plenty of room for your children's imagination to flourish.

2. Things to Do at Bluey's World in Brisbane

Bluey's World Attractions and Activities

As you enter, you'll get a fairytale entrance - quite literally - with a fairy greeting you.

Then, it's on to the front door and into the Heeler family's living room - that's Bluey's home for uninitiated parents.

Once again, the details are magnificent.

It truly looks like the old two-level Queenslander house it's meant to resemble.

Even the little things, like animated dogs playing cricket on the telly, will capture your imagination.

Gnome's Big Day

This is where you and the kids get to work some magic.

In Gnome's Big Day, you’ll bring a gnome to life - a brand new original storyline for you to enjoy.

Before you know it, you'll be on the hunt to find Bluey and Bingo, who are "frozen."

To save them, kiddos will need to help the gnome complete fun tasks.

Only then can Bluey and Bingo be unfrozen.

If you and your kiddo are avid Bluey fans, you're in for a treat.

You can look forward to playing iconic games like "Magic Xylophone," which is based on the first episode of the first season.

Plus, there are also other fun games to enjoy, like "Keepy Uppy" and "Dance Mode."

Bluey and Bingo's Bedroom and Other Areas

On to the second room - and arguably the star of the show - the Heeler pups' bedroom.

Here, kiddos can play in Bluey and Bingo’s cushion cubby.

Step into the closet, and you'll see the dancing plushie Chattermax projected on every wall - a super cool visual effect for the kids.

You can also visit the playroom with the kiwi mat and check out the kitchen. (See if your child tries to pull the duck cake from the oven!)

Next is the creek. Think of it as an animated oasis where water ripples beneath your feet. Fish, turtles, and tadpoles appear as you move.

Lizards and wallabies peek out from rocky ledges and bushy shrubs.

And don’t forget the backyard, which comes with a nearly life-sized poinciana tree, too.

Bluey-Themed Indoor Playground

If your kiddos can’t get enough of the fun (or still have boundless toddler energy to burn), there’s a Bluey-themed playground waiting at the end.

It’s the perfect spot for parents to take a breather while the little ones soak up every last bit of the experience.

Finally, you’ll get to snap a much-cherished photo with Bluey and Bingo before moving on.

Alfie’s Gift Shop

Of course, Bluey’s World wouldn’t be complete without a gift shop, would it?

Here, you can stock up on all things Bluey, including exclusive merch for both little and big kids.

There are Bluey backpacks, Chattermax and gnome plushies, Unicorse puppets, bucket hats, and even apparel for mums and dads.

Golden Crown Takeaway and Pizza Girls

As if spending all that dough at the gift shop wasn’t enough, there are restaurants inspired by Bluey episodes.

Welcome to Golden Crown Takeaway and Pizza Girls!

Here, you can enjoy spring rolls (what’s cool is that the containers are printed with scenes from the Takeaway episode).

And, of course, Pizza Girls sells, well, pizzas.

Hardcore fans will remember the episode where Bluey, Bingo, Socks, and Muffin started a pizza delivery business.

Beyond that, there are other food options like ice creams and fortune cookies too, so no need to worry about going peckish.

3. Getting to Bluey’s World Brisbane

Believe it or not, getting there is part of the fun too.

You won’t just have any old journey heading to Bluey’s World.

Your adventure begins with a cruise on the Brisbane CityCat, which has been suitably renamed the CityDog.

You can ride the blue Bluey boat or her sister Bingo’s brown version.

Then, it’s a scenic cruise down the Brisbane River to Northshore Hamilton.

It’s definitely a fun way to see the city from a different perspective.

With boat staff rocking Bluey and Bingo ears and kids shouting, “I can see it!” at every bend, the excitement is contagious.

Alternatively, you can drive.

It’s easy, with convenient access from the M1 Gateway Bridge and a huge on-site car park (which is thankfully free).

If you’re coming from Brisbane Airport, keep in mind that Bluey’s World is centrally located in the Northshore Hamilton docks (near Eat Street markets).

It’s just a 15-minute drive from the airport (depending on traffic), so no worries there.

4. Bluey's World Brisbane Opening Hours
