Located about 1 hour and 15 minutes’ drive southwest of Kota Kinabalu, Lok
Kawi Wildlife Park is a small wildlife rehabilitation center. Spanning 280
acres, the park is home to nearly 100 species of plants, birds, and wild
animals.
The park features several interesting sections, including an aviary, botanical
garden, and extensive mammal enclosures. There is also a children’s zoo and an
amphitheater within the park.
Guests can observe rare and endangered animals such as pygmy elephants,
gibbons, clouded leopards, civet cats, tarsiers, and orangutans. Outside the
park entrance, visitors will find several souvenir shops offering a range of
local products.
