Aegibong Eco Park branch!
Aegibong Peace Eco Park : As Gimpo's largest peace tourism destination, Aegibong Peace Eco Park is located in the only inter-Korean joint-use water area (Free-zone) on the Korean Peninsula, serving as a symbolic place representing peace and harmony. It is a space that connects the will for peace in the Han River estuary, just like the Jogang River that flows to connect severed history and culture. Furthermore, the fact that it was Hill 154, where the North and South fought fiercely during the Korean War, makes us reflect on its significance as the world's only divided nation. The existing, aging Aegibong Observatory, built in 1978, was demolished and replaced with the new Aegibong Peace Eco Park, which features the Peace Eco Exhibition Hall, Jogang Observatory, and eco-trails.
Jogang Observatory : Jogang (祖江) is the river where the Han River and Imjin River meet before flowing into the West Sea (Ganghwa Bay). It was named Jogang Observatory because it is located on Aegibong Peak, overlooking the Jogang River. It is equipped with pleasant exhibition spaces and state-of-the-art telescopes.
Starbucks Gimpo Aegibong Eco Park Branch : Located in Wolgot-myeon, Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do, this is the only Starbucks store situated within the country's only Civilian Control Zone. It is located just 1.4km away from Kaepung County, North Korea, and on clear days, you can see Mt. Songak and catch a glimpse of the daily lives of North Korean residents with the naked eye. Because it is located near the DMZ, where civilian access is restricted, entry requires passing through a security checkpoint, so a valid ID is mandatory. Famous as the North Korea-view Starbucks, it has had over 800,000 cumulative visitors since its opening at the end of 2024 (as of February 2026), and it continues to attract visitors from home and abroad.
