Highlights

Welcome to Portugal, a magical land of history, culture and breathtaking nature. Our journey begins in vibrant Lisbon, where the sunset is an unforgettable experience. We will also discover Porto, the city of wines and bridges, where rugged hills overlook the Douro River. But Portugal is not just cities. We will enter the wild nature and cross the Alentejo region, famous for its vineyards, golden beaches and picturesque towns. But we can't forget the coast! Our journey will take us to explore the rocky cliffs of the Algarve, where the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean meet the golden sand of the beaches. We can also visit the historic walled city of Lagos and the picturesque coastal towns from Sagres to Faro.

  • Lisbon

    Admission Ticket Free

Discovering the 7 hills of Lisbon
  • Lisbon

    2 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
Set off to discover the city and start savoring the flavors and aromas! The first thing to do in Lisbon is to discover the different neighbourhoods, each with its own soul: the historic Chiado, the elegant Baixa, the very traditional Alfama, Belém and the maritime conquests... Explore them on foot, getting lost in the alleys and alleys, it is the most fun way, but if you want to better understand its history and culture or if you have little time available, a guided tour is the best choice. During your holiday in Lisbon, remember to delight not only your eyes, but also your palate. Taste the local delicacies, the famous pasteis de Nata. From the Baixa which leads to Praça do Comércio (ancient port for ships arriving in Lisbon) we will climb higher and higher, up to Alfama and the Castle of São Jorge. Near Praça do Comercio, don't miss the Mercado da Ribeira, an ancient local market that has now been completely renovated and full of restaurants.

Discovering the colorful castles of Sintra
  • Sintra

    2 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
Today you will travel to Sintra, where you will visit the three Portuguese castles: Castelo dos Mouros, Palácio da Pena and Quinta da Regaleira with its gardens and underground caves. They are located on Monte da Luna and are truly magical places. For lunch you can stop in the center at the Tasca do Xico restaurant, or in the São Pedro area in the typical restaurant street. Unfortunately, one day is not enough to see all the wonders of Sintra and we continue the journey towards the westernmost point of Europe, the Cabo da Roca, before returning to the hotel in Lisbon.

Walk through the streets of Porto
  • Porto

    2 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
After a good breakfast, you will pack your bags and leave by car towards Porto, 300 km north of Lisbon (approximately 3 hours' drive). This day will be dedicated to discovering the city of Porto, at your own pace. We recommend a walk along the Rua Galeria in Paris and the nearby streets and a visit to the Torre dos Clérigos. For art lovers it is possible to pop into Rua Miguel Bombarda to learn about Portuguese design and the country's contemporary art. In the afternoon, a trip to the City Park, which extends to the ocean, is recommended. And if not already done, you can also visit the cellars of Porto to try the famous wine.

Wine and culture in Porto
  • Porto

    2 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
The city of Porto, considered mystical by many visitors, offers a unique experience that varies depending on the location, time and light of the day. The historic center and the left bank of the Douro River, with the famous Port wine cellars, have been declared World Heritage. Start at S. Bento Station, from which you can descend through medieval stairs and alleys to picturesque riverside Ribeira. A boat excursion under Porto's six bridges offers spectacular views. Avenida da Boavista leads to Serralves, famous for its gardens, and the Casa da Música, an important cultural venue. Along the Avenida dos Aliados there are shops and Art Nouveau buildings, while the Rua de Santa Catarina is perfect for shopping and the Café Majestic invites you to take a pleasant break. On the left bank of the river are the Port wine cellars, where you can taste this unique wine.

Coimbra is the oldest university in Europe
  • Coimbra

    2 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
You will start the day with a breakfast at the hotel before heading to Coimbra. It is worth visiting the ancient university founded in the 13th century and climbing the tower to admire a spectacular panoramic view of the city. Coimbra is known as the "city of students" because of its university, the oldest in Portugal and one of the oldest in Europe. Besides the university, the lower part of the city is worth exploring, with its historic shops and cafes. The cathedral, Sé Velha, is where students passionately sing Fado de Coimbra during the monumental serenade. At the Museu Nacional Machado de Castro and the various gardens, such as the Choupal and the Quinta das Lágrimas, you can immerse yourself in the history and beauty of the city. Children will definitely enjoy the Portugal dos Pequenitos miniature park. For a different perspective of Coimbra, you can take a boat trip on the Mondego River.

Aljezur, the Castle and its beaches
  • Aljezur

    Admission Ticket Free
In the following days you can get to know the town of Aljezur and climb up to its castle, crossing the alleys on foot. Bordered by the sea and the mountains, the territory of Aljezur reflects its dual soul in the landscapes. The coast is characterized by high cliffs that hide dunes and beaches, while the hinterland is a succession of horizons covered in vegetation. In both cases, valleys and fertile lands perpetuate peasant traditions. Traveling through the area is an opportunity to recover tranquility and rediscover the silence, interrupted by the singing of birds or the rhythm of the waves crashing on the rocks.

Aljezur, the Castle and its beaches
  • Aljezur

    Admission Ticket Free
Aljezur is a small town on the Vicenza coast, made up of the characteristic rural houses of the Algarve, where colorful arches and window frames highlight the whiteness of the facades. On the top of the hill, the castle walls recall its historic past, symbol of the struggles between Moors and Christians. On the hill, the houses, a sort of white waterfall in the direction of the river, overlook the plain, where this centuries-old town has been able to find its development and its future.
