It was the most important pass of the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty, protecting the widest corridor between China and its strongest rival neighbors, the Manchu, reputed as the “First Pass under Heaven”. It is the eastern starting point of the Great Wall built in the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), and is also the only section on the sea.The whole Wall is considered a huge dragon winding through China, while Laolongtou is just like the head of the dragon stretching into the Bohai Sea. You can explore 1-2 hours here. Then meet your driver and transfer back to Beijing downtown.
