— Tour Info —
Meet your guide and driver at the designated meeting point to begin the Saigon
Afternoon City Tour.
Your journey starts with a visit to the War Remnants Museum, one of the most
impactful historical museums in Vietnam. Here, you’ll gain deeper insight into
the country’s wartime history through an extensive collection of over 20,000
photographs, documents, and military equipment such as tanks, aircraft, and
artillery. The museum offers a powerful and thought-provoking perspective on
Vietnam’s past.
Next, continue to the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral, a stunning example of
French colonial architecture built in 1877. Admire its neo-Romanesque design,
impressive twin bell towers rising 57 meters high, and the serene statue of
the Virgin Mary made from Italian marble.
Just a short walk away is the Saigon Central Post Office, a beautifully
preserved building constructed between 1886 and 1891. Designed in classic
European style, the post office is famous for its bright yellow façade, arched
windows, and elegant interior—making it one of the most photographed landmarks
in the city.
The tour then passes by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Building, an
architectural masterpiece dating back to the early 20th century. Its grand
French colonial design makes it one of the most recognizable landmarks in
Saigon (view from outside only).
Continue your journey to Nha Rong Wharf, home to the Ho Chi Minh Museum. This
historic site marks the place where President Ho Chi Minh departed Vietnam in
1911 to begin his journey for national independence. Today, it serves as a
museum showcasing his life and legacy.
Note: Nha Rong Wharf is closed on Mondays.
