Most houses have been fully renovated and are used as accommodation facilities. A part of the castle's old watch tower remains intact, although many structures were destroyed due to an earthquake in 1956. A small chapel that is carved into the volcanic rock and overlooks the Aegean Sea. also lies in the area. It is dedicated to Saint Nikolaos and was constructed around 1450.
