While in bloom, the structure generates heat, more than 32 degrees Celsius and produces its “foul smelling” odour to attract flesh flies and carrion beetles for pollination. After 48 hours the flower structure withers. The trek to see the flower varies on the location of bloom of the Titan Arum which can take from 1 hour to 3 hours.
