The British Music Experience tells the story of British Music through costumes, instruments, performance and memorabilia. Whatever age you are, and whatever you are into, there is something here for you.
We’ve got outfits worn by artists from Freddie Mercury to the Spice Girls, musical instruments from Queen’s Roger Taylor and memorabilia from the Beatles through to Adele. You can also Dance the Decades in our studio, sing your heart out or play top guitars and drums.
The current temporary exhibition is Girl Power! Spice Girls at 30. The exhibition charts the history of the most important girl band in British history. *Girl Power - Spice Girls at 30 is a collectors event and not an official Spice Girls exhibition.
After the main event browse an exclusive range of gifts, clothing, books and memorabilia from the Merch Store and you can rest those dancing feet with a selection of delicious snacks and meals in the Star Café.

The temporary exhibition, Girl Power! Spice Girls at 30* is on until 8 September 2024. The exhibition tells the band’s story through outfits from the extraordinary collection of independent curator Liz West, who is the foremost collector of Spice Girls memorabilia and merchandise in the World. The outfits on display will be complemented by audio visual elements, including a stage show montage of Spice Girls hits and listening stations. *Girl Power - Spice Girls at 30 is a collectors event and not an official Spice Girls exhibition.
