Day 1: Marrakech to Zagora

  Starting at 7.30 a.m., we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech and begin our adventure, heading across the Atlas mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. This mountain road has some of the most beautiful views in Morocco, and you’ll even be able to spot the various Berber villages dotted along the way. Once we’ve crossed the pass, we’ll arrive at Ouarzazate for a quick lunch. We’ll explore the winding streets, check out the various markets, shops, and architecture before continuing our journey in the afternoon. We’ll continue along the Tizi-n-Tinififte pass before reaching the head of the Draa Valley at Agdz. We’ll then head off the main road toward the Sahara, taking the same caravan route that has been used by the Berbers for hundreds of years. Once we’ve arrived at Zagora and the desert dunes, we’ll take a camel ride across the dunes to our campsite. Once we’ve arrived, we’ll relax, watch the desert sunset from the top of the dunes, and have a cooked Berber dinner under the stars.
