Travel easily on the Kansai Airport Limited Express "Haruka" using just your smartphone—no need to exchange tickets at the station. Both ticket types allow boarding the Haruka Express with a reserved seat. Please refer to the official website for full route details and train schedules.

• Free admission for children below 6 years old. They must not occupy a seat.
• Child fare applies from age 6+.
• No reissuance if the physical ticket is lost.

• Smartphone with internet access (for WEST QR tickets).
• Passport (for manual counter exchange or machine validation).
• Printed voucher if using a ticket machine.

• Not all machines are accessible to travelers without e-passports.
• Assistance available at JR Midori-no-madoguchi (Green Window) counters.
• Not wheelchair-exclusive, but most stations are accessible.

A full refund will be processed if cancelled anytime before your selected activity date. No refunds can be issued if cancelled after your selected activity date.

This ticket is only valid for travel between the departure and arrival stations selected at the time of purchase. You cannot get on or off at stations along the route.

(For example: If you purchase a ticket from Kyoto Station to Kansai Airport Station, you may only board at Kyoto and disembark at Kansai Airport.)

How to Use the Ticket

1. Access the WEST QR dedicated website using your smartphone.
2. Display the QR code and scan it at the automatic ticket gate to enter or exit.
3. If you have not reserved a seat or if all reserved seats are fully booked, you may use non-reserved seating.
4. Unused tickets are fully refundable within the validity period.

How to Prepare

1. Receive your WEST QR ticket use certificate (voucher).
2. Access the WEST QR website via the link on your voucher.
3. Create an account using: A valid email address, password, country/region.
4. After logging in, a pop-up will appear asking you to register your ticket. You can select the ticket from the pop-up or manually enter the QR ticket number.
5. You can reserve a seat on the HARUKA train from 30 days in advance up to 3 minutes before departure, only via the WEST QR website.
6. Note: Seat reservations cannot be made at station machines or ticket counters.

If reserved seats are sold out, you can:

• Choose non-reserved seating, or
• Select reserved seats on a different HARUKA train via the WEST QR site.

On the Day of Travel

1. Log in to the WEST QR website with your registered account.
2. Select your ticket from the list.
3. Tap "Start Using" on the ticket details page to activate the ticket.
4. Important: Only activate the ticket on the day of use. Once activated, it is considered used—even if you do not board the train.
5. The QR code will be displayed. Hold your smartphone over the red QR scanner at the gate to pass through.

Important Notes

• If the gate does not have a QR scanner, use the designated scanning area marked with the "WEST QR" symbol near the gate.
• Screenshots or printouts of the QR code are not accepted.
• An internet-connected smartphone is required to retrieve and display the QR code.
• For detailed instructions, refer to the official user guide.
• If your smartphone has Express Transit Card enabled, disable it before scanning the QR code to avoid double charging.
• If your IC transit card is mistakenly scanned at the gate, contact station staff to cancel the entry record.

Usage Rules

• If you disembark midway, the remaining portion of your trip becomes invalid.
• This ticket is only valid for the Limited Express Haruka.
• You may also board non-Haruka trains (e.g., Special Rapid, Rapid, or Local commuter trains) within the designated travel zone.
• However, if you use the ticket to board a non-Haruka train, the Haruka non-reserved seat ticket becomes non-refundable.
• You may disembark at any stop within the designated service range, but your ticket will be collected at the exit gate.
• If you travel beyond the valid section, additional charges will apply and must be paid separately.
• An extra fee is required for using Haruka Green Car (First Class, Car No.1).

How to Redeem Your Voucher

• Use the designated ticket machines located at major stations to exchange your voucher for a physical ticket.
• Machines support 5 languages: Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, and Korean.

• If the machine is out of service or your passport lacks an IC chip, please visit the JR Green Counter (Midori-no-Madoguchi) at the designated stations for manual redemption.

Refund Policy

• Full refund is available only if the ticket has not been used and is still within the validity period.
• If you've already exchanged your voucher for a physical ticket:
• You can cancel it at a JR Green Counter.
• A 10% cancellation fee (based on the ticket value) will be charged.

Skip the queue at the Green Counter and standard ticket machines by using the exclusive Haruka ticket machine located near the ticket gates at Kansai Airport Station.

Steps to redeem your ticket:

1. Scan your QR code or enter your confirmation code at the machine.
2. Select your preferred train (you can choose trains departing within 5 minutes).
3. Collect your printed train ticket.
4. Enter through the manual ticket gate.

Important Notes:

• Boarding is only permitted from Kansai Airport Station.
• Refunds, date changes, or train changes are not allowed once the e-voucher is exchanged for a printed ticket.
• If the Haruka ticket machine is unavailable, please use the green ticket vending machines (marked with a passport icon) or visit the Green Counter.
• Ticket redemption is available from 5:30 AM until 5 minutes before the last Haruka train departure.
• If your selected train is fully booked, you may use non-reserved seating.
• Lost printed tickets will not be reissued—a new purchase is required.
• If your selected Haruka train is suspended, you may board a non-reserved Haruka train or the Kansai-Airport Rapid Service.

JR West Ticket Office (Manual):

• If the machine is out of service or your passport is not compatible, please proceed to the Green Counter (JR Ticket Office).
• Present your e-voucher and passport to the JR Ticket Office (Midori-no-madoguchi, also known as the Green Window) to exchange for a physical ticket.
• Name and passport checks are required at the counter but not at machines.
