SaPa was a frontier township and capital of the former Sa Pa District in Lào Cai Province in northwest Vietnam. It is well-known for the beautiful landscape that makes it one of the favorite touristic spots for travelers from all over the world. Indeed, thousands of tourists visit every year to walk the hundreds of miles of trekking trails between and around the Dao villages of Ta Van and Ta Phin. Some also visit to enjoy the scenic views.
