We walked toward the sandy area scattered with large boulders that served as perfect places to sunbathe. Children were playing and splashing in the shallow calm blue waters. It seemed a tropical oasis amidst the desert surroundings. We spent a relaxing afternoon swimming in the refreshing waters, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the peaceful scenery and natural beauty of this idyllic island escape on the Nile.
