Highlights
One of the most beautiful routes in the Park starts from this magical corner of Anaga. It starts from the Santiago house crossing, going down towards the Roque Negro wash houses to the Barranco de la Porquera and ending at the same starting point with an original and unique view. Its distance is approximately 6 kilometers and 500+
This trail gives us the opportunity to enjoy incredible landscapes, which make our imagination fly to remote, prehistoric times. We will enjoy farming areas, where the kindness of the neighbors is a constant. We will be ecstatic with its perfectly preserved laurel forests. We will pass through areas of scrubland and we will marvel at its different natural viewpoints, which offer us the best views of this unique Rural Park in the world.
The guide reserves the right to not allow participants who are not in good health to do the route.
Itinerary
Cruce de Afur
The Anaga Rural Park was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in June 2015. The reasons are innumerable. It has numerous tourist attractions, with its leisure areas, nature, hiking, culture, history, etc. In its 14,500 hectares it has endless corners that will amaze visitors. Its incredible ravines, valleys, beaches, waterfalls, etc. They are the perfect canvas for photography and nature lovers. One of those wonderful corners is the Caserío de Roque Negro. The incredible phonolitic rock formation that gives its name to this place is blackish in color, which is due to the filtration of water in the rock and which feeds the lichen that grows on its walls.
