- The Nozomi service runs roughly 2–7 times an hour between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
- Tickets can only be issued within 30 days before the travel date.
- For bookings made more than 30 days in advance, the order will be placed as a pre-order.
- Reserved seat tickets guarantee travel on the specific date, time, and seat printed on the physical ticket.
- If tickets are not collected by the departure time of the reserved train, the time cannot be changed and no refund will be issued.
- This service does not support oversized luggage seat bookings; please visit a JR ticket office for such requests.
- Open to all international travelers and local residents.
- Adult: 12–99 years old.
- Child: 6–11 years old.
- Adult: Ages 12+ (12-year-olds still in elementary school count as Child).
- Child: Ages 6–11 (6-year-olds who have not entered elementary school count as Infant).
- Infant: Ages 1–5 years (Free of charge).
- Baby: Less than 1 year old (Free of charge).
- Infants and Babies require a child ticket if they occupy a reserved seat or if more than two infants accompany one paying adult.
- Mobile or printed e-voucher with QR code.
- Valid passport or photo ID.

- Elevators and slopes are available to reach Shinkansen platforms.
- Manual confirmation is required. Your booking will be confirmed within 1–3 business days.
- A confirmation email with train details will be sent from experiences-travel-guest-jp@faq.rakuten.co.jp.
- No cancellations, refunds, or changes are permitted once the booking is confirmed.
- Exchange your e-voucher for physical tickets at a valid JR Reserved Seat Ticket Machine, Ticket Office, or JR East Travel Service Center.
- Tickets can be printed between 5:00 AM and 11:00 PM (subject to station operating hours).

Buying through pelago will be a reserved seat. Thankfully pelago chose a seat for us with oversized baggage. Kudos to them. (I’m not sure it’s just sheer luck or pelago actively tries to give us seats with oversize baggage allowance) Reasonable price. Easy to obtain tickets from Shinkansen kiosk. Tokyo station is huge and be sure to reach early.
