• Located on the western slope of the sacred Mt. Hakkai, one of the Echigo Sanzan mountains, this 2,217-meter-long ropeway within the Muikamachi Hakkaisan Ski Resort can carry up to 81 passengers.

Enjoy a 'walk in the sky' with open, panoramic views, or go hiking and
trekking on the sacred Mt. Hakkai. Experience the charm of nature throughout
the four seasons: fresh greenery and lingering snow in spring, cool refreshing
breezes in summer, and sea of clouds and autumn foliage in fall.

The ropeway summit station is at an altitude of 1,147m, where temperatures are
about 5–8°C cooler than at the base. Even in midsummer, the breeze is
refreshing, making it a perfect getaway to escape the heat.

From the observation deck, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the
surrounding area. It is one of the best viewpoints in Niigata Prefecture,
offering vistas of the Uonuma Plain, the mountains along the Joshin'etsu
border, and on clear days, even the Sea of Japan and Sado Island.
