Admission Ticket FreeDaily life at the Mekong Delta is a leisurely 2-hour drive outside of Ho Chi Minh City, so be ready to welcome your guide and driver right after breakfast at your hotel in the former Vietnamese capital. Passing local communities and taking well-paved motorways, the 170,000-inhabitant counting town of My Tho marks the entrance into the Tien Giang province. It is right here where you get your first impression of the ‘rice bowl of Vietnam’ as hundreds of rice paddy fields province multiple harvests each year. It may not be the place for seeing the floating markets but in and around the town, life, as it has been for generations, makes it worth the visit.My Tho

En route to our disembarkation point, we make a stop at one of the fruit orchards for sampling some exotic fruits and get an insight into the processes of cultivation. Lunch is served at a local restaurant.
