Here we will enjoy our traditional Greek coffee. Until we get there we will drive along the idyllic coastal road, full of palm trees and beautiful beaches. The Lake is the hidden jewel of the Athenian Riviera. It is a Natura 2000 site and the Ministry of Culture has declared it as a place of Special Natural Beauty. Since ancient times, it has been known for its healing properties and is the only healing lake in Attica. You will be in front of a rare geological phenomenon that brings tranquility away from the busy Athens. The port was of great commercial importance and today it is an attraction of unique natural beauty. If you wish, you can extend your route here, either for a seafood meal next to the sea, or for a short swim on the pristine beach. Excellent spot for photography. You will walk along a part of the ancient carriage road, which once connected the Municipality of Aixonides Alon with the port of the coastal front. This discovery came to light during an excavation at Megalo Kavouri Vouliagmeni. From the coins and pottery found at the excavation site, it appears that the road remained in use throughout the 4th century AC. This is a particularly important discovery that illuminates aspects of the urban organization of the area, as well as the economic and commercial activity of its inhabitants.
