Depart Accra to Elmina

One of the first sites of European settlement in West Africa. En route, we will visit Assin Manso Slave Market, where the slaves were being kept. It is less than hundred kilometers from where the slave ships were docked at Cape Coast and Elmina, the captives were encamped for their last bath with African water, in a river known as “Donko Nsuo”, Slave River. We will have a healing tour to reconnect with our ancestors. After the tour we will drive to our hotel chillax and reflex on today activities. We will make a stop at a local School and have interactions with the pupils, present our donations and observe classes etc. We will visit Adawomase Kente Village, Kente is a colorful Ghanaian traditional fabric which is worn mostly on important occasions and celebrations. A lot of the Kente cloth that we see in Ghanaian markets actually comes from Kumasi. We will visit a Cocoa Farm where we will get to tour one of Ghana's oldest and finest cocoa farms. We will get to see the day-to-day practices of the farm and also see how rural folk in Ghana live. the food they eat and all, you also get to see some products made by this farm from cocoa that is not seen anywhere else in the world.
