Why is wild boar hot pot called “Botan (Peony) Nabe”?

The name comes from the beautifully arranged slices of boar meat, which resemble a blooming peony flower on the plate. “Botan Nabe” is a traditional Japanese game meat hot pot dish.

In this course, we carefully select wild boar raised in the rich natural environment of Kyushu.

Simmered in the signature soy sauce-based broth of “Kome to Circus,” perfected over more than 10 years, you can fully enjoy the melt-in-your-mouth sweetness of the fat and the rich umami of the lean meat.

In addition, discover rare and surprising ingredients you won’t easily find elsewhere, such as butter soy–grilled shark and even cactus dishes.
