- Tokyo Tower
Tokyo Tower is to Tokyo what the Oriental Pearl Tower is to Shanghai—a
striking landmark of the city. This elegant, towering structure bears a
resemblance to the Eiffel Tower and is actually slightly taller. Its iconic
red and white frame frequently appears in films and literature about Tokyo,
making it a must-visit witness to your journey for both international and
domestic travelers. From the observation deck, enjoy a 360-degree panoramic
view of the city, and on clear days, you may even spot Mount Fuji in the
distance!
- Imperial Palace
The Imperial Palace Outer Garden, commonly known as the Imperial Palace Plaza,
is a vast area located between the high-rise buildings of Marunouchi and the
Imperial Palace. It is surrounded by moats such as the Gaikan-bori, Hibiya-
bori, Babasaki-bori, Ote-bori, and the pond in front of the Nijubashi Bridge.
The garden is paved with gravel and planted with pine trees, offering a rare
and expansive green space in the heart of the city.
- Senso-ji Temple & Nakamise Shopping Street
Nakamise Shopping Street is a bustling approach leading from the Kaminarimon
Gate to Senso-ji Temple, and it is one of the most quintessentially Japanese
shopping streets. It is lined with over a hundred traditional souvenir shops
selling a variety of local specialties and gifts. The iconic giant lantern at
Kaminarimon Gate is also a perfect photo opportunity.
