【Hokkaido Regular Sightseeing Bus】 G Highland Furano, Farm Tomita, Shikisai no Oka & Blue Pond Popular Sightseeing Course (Audio Guide, Lunch Included)
Highlights
This highly popular course allows you to visit Furano’s lavender fields, Shikisai no Oka, and Shirogane Blue Pond all in one day.
Travel on a bus equipped with a multilingual audio guidance system available in Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean, and explore the highlights of Furano and Biei, where colorful flower fields and scenic hills stretch across the landscape.
The first stop after departing Sapporo Station is Highland Furano, a nature-rich hot spring resort surrounded by vast forests and lavender fields. The vibrant purple fields spreading across the landscape resemble a “sea of lavender.” Walking paths are also available, allowing you to enjoy forest bathing and observe seasonal plants and wild birds.
Lunch here features a set menu with a petit cheese fondue made from Furano cheese and a hamburger steak made with Kamifurano pork. Enjoy the flavors of Furano and Biei through locally sourced ingredients.
After lunch, the tour continues to Farm Tomita, a tourist farm that has been cultivating lavender since 1958. With 14 flower fields centered around lavender, you can enjoy colorful seasonal blooms throughout the year. The facility also includes shops offering a wide range of original products such as soaps, perfumes, and massage oils, as well as cafés, galleries, and a lavender distillation house.
Next, travel along the “Roller Coaster Road” to Shikisai no Oka. More than 30 types of flowers bloom here in succession from May to late October, with peak season from late July to late September. The gently sloping hills, covered in vibrant colors like a patchwork, create a breathtaking view. You can also take a 15-minute ride around the park on the tractor bus “Shikisai Norokko-go” (optional, additional fee). Alpacas are also raised here, and you can optionally enter the farm area to interact with them and enjoy feeding experiences.
On the way back, enjoy scenic views from the bus such as Patchwork Road and the Seven Stars Tree as you return to Sapporo. The final stop of the tour is Shirogane Blue Pond, one of the most popular attractions in the Biei area. Its cobalt blue water and standing dead larch trees create a magical, almost painting-like landscape. The appearance changes depending on the weather and light, making it a truly mystical sight.
The Furano and Biei area, with its rolling hills and vibrant flower fields, offers unforgettable scenery both from the bus and at each stop along the way.
