  Jordan's highest mountain, located inside Wadi Rum and near the border with Saudi Arabia, Jabaal Um Ad Dami provides summit views at an elevation of approximately 1,850 meters. Many of their 'Bedouin Roads' have been rediscovered and documented by modern climbers. Several are included in the climbing guidebook by Tony Howard, and online by Lien and Gilles Papineau.[13] In 1949, Sheikh Hamden took surveyors to the summit of Jabaal Ram. The first recorded European ascent of Jabaal Ram took place in November 1952, by Charmian Langstaff and Sylvia Branford, guided by Sheik Hamden.
