Itinerary
Maple Tree Square
Starting at Maple Tree Square, where Vancouver began, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and follow the cobbles into Gastown. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city. The statue of Gassy Jack presides over the square — the talkative saloon-keeper whose one bar in 1867 grew into a city. Riddles buy the first round of questions. Waterfront Station follows, the columned terminus where transcontinental trains once ended and SeaBus commuters now begin. Trivia reads the departure boards of history. Then the Gastown Steam Clock whistles on cue, venting the neighbourhood's steam system every quarter hour to the delight of every camera present. Around two hours between brick facades and mountain glimpses. The leaderboard blows the final whistle.
