Next, we visit the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its mosaics, create a mesmerizing, ethereal atmosphere. Don’t miss the remarkable Good Shepherd mosaic, a powerful Christian symbol. We then explore the Basilica of San Vitale, a true Byzantine masterpiece. The intricate mosaics, including the iconic depictions of Emperor Justinian and Empress Theodora, highlight the grandeur of the period.
