I booked a luxury spa session for m.y husband and I. I had a wonderful experience, however, my husband has this to say, and left a Google review : You’re looking forward to an experience, but it’s short lived soon after you receive your 2 tokens for a bath and an oil massage. The receptionist assures you it’s a one an a half hour experience. My “ex” perience lasted all of 52 minutes and this includes the time I arrived at 4.55pm (my appointment was 5.00pm) to the time I am now seated in the hall/reception area writing this review. I am told to go upstairs where I am given a towel and told to change. I then made sure I double locked the door before I left the room for by “bath” as the gentleman was hurrying me to be quick. Mid way down the staircase I am met by an older gentleman (the one who gives you a bath basically) . Told to go into the bath area, basically a hexagon of heated marble you lie down on. Couple of minutes later you’re splashed with hot water and the “scrubbing begins”. It’s rough, then in between there “I make good service you sleep, you give good tip.. then you’re face down scrubbed and again “ you make good tip” and then you’re told to sit up, splashed again and you guessed it..”I make good service you give good tip..”no let manager see”, keep in your hand .. we make shake hand you give good tip… this went on and on the entire scrub and soap bath.. By now in honesty I can’t relax because next I have to get the oil massage… and you guessed it again.. yes you go here for massage, after “you give me good tip” I proceed into the massage area for my scheduled aroma therapy massage. Now I am a registered and certified massage therapist so I do know a thing or two about “massage” in the 20 years I have been going it. And let me tell you it was “utter rubbish, rushed strokes, unknown pressure or massage technique..and in under 15minutes it was yes sir, my name is Aziz and you can give me good tip after your shower… Am honestly sick of this place and the attitude of the people here. There’s no service, sincerity, authenticity or even the slightest courtesy to give you a good experience. To all travellers hoping for a true Turkish bath experience, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. Do not waste your time or money here.
