Enjoy a fun day out on the ocean, engaging with turtles, marine life and
nature with our ecologically conscious Swim with Turtles Tour!
Our tour begins with a 20min boat ride to Cook Island Aquatic Reserve
(Joongurra-Narrian). The reserve lies approximately 600m off the shore of
Fingal Head, NSW. It is a foraging ground to a significant number of sea
turtles. The numbers are so significant that the island was originally named
Turtle Island. It is here that we will dive in and meet these turtally awesome
locals! The surrounding waters of the reserve are also home to a wide variety
of subtropical and temperate species of fish, crustaceans, and rays – just to
name a few! Prepare to be in absolute awe of the magical underwater world that
lies here on our doorstep!
WHAT IS INCLUDED
- Guaranteed turtle sightings or return for free.
- Qualified, experienced and professional skipper and crew.
- Maximum 12 swimmers in the water accompanied by an experienced guide.
- Top of the range swim and snorkel gear (masks, fins, snorkel) including super warm full length wetsuits.
- Spray jackets, Sharkbanz and Reef Safe Sunscreen available upon request.
- In-water support from crew, as well as floatation devices.
- Snorkel training offered to improve your current skill level.
- Informative and captivating commentary throughout the tour on turtles and other marine life; Australian Aboriginal and European history along with the local area.
- Fresh fruit provided post swim.
**WHAT TO BRING **
It is colder out on the water so come prepared with layers. We recommend:
- Beanie, warm jumper or insulated jacket.
- Spray jacket or rain coat.
- Sunglasses and hat.
- Camera, GoPro etc.
- Drinking water.
- Towel.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
- MUST be able to swim unassisted
- 6 years+ minimum age. Any children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
- Not suitable for pregnant woman or anyone with a back injury.
- Sense of adventure!
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you wish to cancel or reschedule your tour, you
must contact us by phone at least 48 hours before your tour start
time. Late cancellations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
REFUND POLICY: We are unable to refund the booking or card fees you may
incur if a full refund is granted.

IMPORTANT stuff to remember: ** **
Our tours operate on QLD TIME
Please arrive * _ 1_ _ 0 minutes prior_ _ ** to your scheduled
tour_ * (the time showing on your booking confirmation) for a safety
briefing and to get fitted with a mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit
PARKING:
please do not park out the front of the Cubby bake house, but please feel free
if you are early to grab some breakfast from Cubby bakehouse.
If possible, please be in your swim wear before you get here as this will save
time pre-departure and will maximize our time out on the water!
**1. WHAT TO BRING **
It can be colder out on the water so come prepared. We recommend:
- light jumper
- Spray jacket/ Rain coat - we have some available for you to use also!
- Sunglasses and hat
- Camera, Gopro etc
- Towel
- Drinking water
- If you have your own wetsuits and would like to wear it, bring it!
Unfortunately there is not enough space for everyone to bring a backpack.
but we do have a small amount of storage under each seat onboard for you to
put your belongings.
**2. MOTION SICKNESS TABLETS **
If you are, or think you might be prone to sea sickness, please consult your
pharmacist and pickup some motion sickness tablets prior to joining us. We
will have natural motion sickness tablet remedies on board if you are in need,
but if you are likely to suffer from sea sickness we recommend you consult
your pharmacist for your needs.
