[Takaoka ↔ Shirakawa-go Bus 2-Day Pass] This convenient bus route takes you from Takaoka to the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Gokayama (Ainokura & Suganuma) and Shirakawa-go. The journey from Takaoka to Gokayama takes about 1 hour.
You can explore the three UNESCO-listed gassho-style villages, or enjoy other experiences such as visiting the Johana district with its traditional weaving looms. The bus is also equipped with free Wi-Fi, making your trip even more comfortable!
[Takaoka ↔ Shirakawa-go Bus 2-Day Pass] Please redeem your bus ticket by presenting the QR code voucher at either the Shin-Takaoka Station Tourist Exchange Center (inside Shin-Takaoka Station) or the Kaetsunō Bus Ticket Center (1st floor, Curun Takaoka). Present the issued ticket when boarding the bus.

- Non-Refundable: Tickets cannot be canceled or refunded after redemption.
- Flexible Boarding: The ticket allows unlimited boarding and alighting between Takaoka / Shin-Takaoka Station and Gokayama / Shirakawa-go for 2 days from the date of issue.

- Ticket Redemption: Complete ticket exchange at least 15 minutes before departure.

- From 16 Mar 2024: Hokuriku Shinkansen coverage extended to Tsuruga–Joetsumyoko; conventional line Tsuruga–Kanazawa not covered. New line included: HAPI-LINE FUKUI (Fukui–Echizen-Hanando; only when traveling via JR Etsumi-Hoku Line).
- From 16 Mar 2024, all seats on THUNDERBIRD, SHIRASAGI, SUPER HAKUTO, SUPER INABA, and YAKUMO are reserved-seat only (advance booking required).
- Only e-passports (IC chip) can use machines; supported languages: English, Simplified/Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese.
- Luggage limit per JR rules: up to two items; ≤30 kg; L+W+H ≤250 cm; length ≤200 cm.

Pass redemption was easy and you can even do it at the ticket kiosk. Buying the pass thru Pelago allows payment in my local currency thereby avoiding foreign transaction fee. Also earn KrisFlyer points.
