Led by a specialist with years of experience working at the Roberto Burle Marx Site and a deep knowledge of tropical plants, this experience offers a unique and insightful perspective on Brazilian landscape design. The visit lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and offers an immersive journey into the life and work of one of the most influential landscape designers of the 20th century. You will explore extensive tropical gardens, discovering a remarkable diversity of plant species and understanding how they were used in landscape composition. We also visit a 17th-century chapel, as well as the house where Burle Marx lived, which holds part of his personal art collection. The experience includes access to his studios and the main hall, offering a deeper understanding of his creative process and artistic vision. Throughout the experience, you will gain insights into his design philosophy, his relationship with Brazilian nature, and the cultural context that shaped his work.

Along the way, we may enjoy scenic views of Rio’s untouched coastline, including Grumari and Prainha — areas rarely visited by most tourists.
