• Wat Paknam
  
  Wat Paknam is famous for its white pagoda with an emerald-colored stupa, a
  sight unique to Thailand. The first to third floors of the building house
  exhibits of Buddhist artifacts. The highlight is on the fourth floor. As you
  step inside, a fantastical world that feels like being in outer space unfolds
  before you. Interestingly, the temple has a branch in Narita City, Chiba
  Prefecture, making it very familiar to people in Japan.

  
  

• Pink Ganesha
  
  This temple is famous for its reputation of granting wishes at an incredibly
  fast speed. It is said that it grants wishes three times faster than usual.
  Around the Pink Ganesha, there are mice of various colors, but the ones that
  grant your wishes are the two white mice in front. It is said that if you
  whisper your wish into one ear of the mouse, it will relay the message to
  Ganesha. Be sure to cover the other ear while whispering your wish! Otherwise,
  the message might go in one ear and out the other. Taking a commemorative
  photo with the mouse corresponding to the color of the day you were born is a

• Wat Phra Si Sanphet (World Heritage Site)
  
  This was the most important temple within the Ayutthaya Royal Palace,
  featuring three Sri Lankan-style pagodas lined up. It served as the guardian
  temple where three kings of the Ayutthaya Dynasty, who left their mark on Thai
  history, were laid to rest; it is the equivalent of the Temple of the Emerald
  Buddha in the Bangkok Dynasty. Although it was destroyed during the Burmese
  invasion in the 18th century, it was restored after the war, and now only the
  ruins of the pagodas and pillars remain.

  
  

• Wat Mahathat (World Heritage Site)
  
  Wat Mahathat is a place you have surely seen in guidebooks at least once. It
  is famous for its impressive Buddha head entwined in tree roots. The sight of
  the Buddha head, which fell from its body in the mid-1600s and has been held
  perfectly level within the roots, is nothing short of a miracle.

  
  

• Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon
  
  This temple was built by King Uthong, who founded the Ayutthaya Dynasty in

  
  
• The eye-catching pagoda stands 72 meters tall. It was built in 1592 to
  commemorate King Naresuan the Great's victory in a duel against the Burmese
  prince. You can climb the pagoda and enjoy the surrounding view. With its
  reclining Buddha and statues in the cloister, it is an iconic temple of
  Ayutthaya.
