- Spot Introduction -
Wat Paknam is famous for its white stupa with an emerald-colored stupa, a sight unique to this temple. The first to third floors of the building house exhibits of Buddhist artifacts and other items. The highlight is the fourth floor. Stepping inside, you'll find yourself in a fantastical world that feels like you're in outer space. In fact, this temple has a branch in Narita City, Chiba Prefecture, making it quite familiar to people in Japan.
This temple is famous for its incredibly fast-acting granting of wishes to the Pink Ganesha. It's said that it grants wishes three times faster than usual. While there are mice of various colors surrounding the Pink Ganesha, it's the two white mice in front that grant wishes. If you whisper your wish into one of the mice's ears, this mouse will relay it to Ganesha. Be sure to cover the other ear while you're whispering your wish! Otherwise, your words will just go in one ear and out the other. Taking a commemorative photo with the mouse corresponding to the color of the day of the week you were born is a must!

Wat Phra Si Sanphet (World Heritage Site)
This was the most important temple within the Ayutthaya Royal Palace,
featuring three Sri Lankan-style stupas. It was the guardian temple where
three kings of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, who left their mark on Thai history,
were buried, and is comparable to the Emerald Temple of the Bangkok Kingdom.
It was destroyed during the Burmese invasion in the 18th century, but was
restored after the war, and now only the remains of the stupas and pillars
remain.Wat Mahathat (World Heritage Site)
Wat Mahathat is a temple you've probably seen in guidebooks. It's famous for
its impressive Buddha head encased in a tree. The fact that the Buddha head,
which fell from its body in the mid-1600s, has remained horizontally balanced
and incorporated into the base of the tree is nothing short of miraculous.Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon
This temple was built in 1351 by King Uthong, who founded the Ayutthaya
Kingdom. The striking stupa stands 72 meters tall. This stupa was built in
1592 to commemorate the victory of King Naresuan the Great in a duel against a
Burmese prince. Visitors can climb the stupa and enjoy the surrounding views.
The reclining Buddha statue and the Buddha statues in the corridors of the
temple grounds are also impressive, making it an iconic temple of Ayutthaya.
