Fantastic experience. Ladies were great at sharing their passion for local food. Loved all the photos they shared too. Highly recommend for anyone visiting or living in Singapore. I’ll definitely do again.
Had a lovely morning with Sara as our instructor. I really enjoyed learning about heritage cuisine and the different ingredients that go into some of Singapore's national dishes. Not to mention it all ended in a delicious meal!
Did this for a team bonding event and we really enjoyed ourselves! Our host Theresa was super fun & engaging and made the whole experience even more memorable. Being locals ourselves we were surprised at the amount we learnt about our heritage and culture through this experience hearing the personal recounts of our hosts. And the yummy food we prepared ourselves was a major plus! Truly a hidden gem and highly recommended!
It was super fun! As a Singaporean, I'm very familiar with this heritage food and never think of find out the story behind the food. I learned all these knowledge from Teresa. We prepared Nasi lemak during our session and it is so delicious. We cleared all the food on our table!!!
Sent my mom for this experience to unlock her inner chef, and she came back with all smiles on her face :))) She went for the char kuay teow + ang ku kueh class, made new chef friends (a group of teachers) along the way & got to learn some interesting facts/history about the dishes (rather than just learning how to cook it) from a very knowledgeable & funny instructor. Overall, she said she would actually go back again!
I chose this activity to celebrate my mum's birthday and she really loved it! We learnt to cook super lemak chicken curry, roti jala and ondeh ondeh. What I loved about the class was (a) got to be hands-on with pounding spices, chopping ingredients etc (b) teachers were friendly, insightful and clear like sharing the history of the dishes (c) unique food and real delicious. It was a wonderful mother-daughter bonding time. I wish I could give one more star because TFP went above and beyond by specially printing + framing up our photos, which made the class even more memorable. Thanks Pelago for sharing this hidden gem!
It was great. Fun and educational cooking experience!
