Itinerary

  • Start of Tour (8:30AM)

Meet at Victoria Coach Station (Gate 1-5). Tour departs at 8:30 am (boarding at 8.00 am).
  • Depart London

Depart from central London by air-conditioned coach and journey west into the scenic county of Wiltshire toward Salisbury Plain, the site of UNESCO-listed Stonehenge.
  • Coach Transfer to Stonehenge

As you travel, listen as your guide shares fascinating facts about this prehistoric monument: a 4,500-year-old stone circle that many scholars believe was built as a temple aligned to the movements of the sun.
  • Stonehenge

On arrival, head inside the site and stroll around the monument’s perimeter as you consider how the gigantic stones were transported here and then raised into place. After posing for photos in front of the stones, explore the state-of-the-art visitor center to discover its archaeological displays and audio-visual walkthroughs.
  • Coach Transfer to Bath

Then, continue your journey to the 18th-century spa city of Bath. During your journey, learn about Bath’s history. Famous for its natural hot springs that were enjoyed by the Romans, as well as for its Georgian architecture and associations with the 18th-century novelist, Jane Austen, this lovely city is one of England’s greatest treasures.
  • Bath

Take an introductory walking tour. Put on your audio headset and listen to your guide’s crystal-clear commentary as you admire the beautiful streets and honey-colored Georgian buildings, including the sweeping Royal Crescent and Pulteney Bridge.
  • Roman Baths (selected options only)

The Roman Baths complex is a site of historical interest in the English city of Bath. It is a well-preserved Roman site once used for public bathing. The Roman Baths themselves are below the modern street level. There are four main features - the Sacred Spring, the Roman Temple, the Roman Bath House and the museum, holding finds from Roman Bath. The buildings above street level date from the 19th century. The Baths are a major tourist attraction and, together with the Grand Pump Room, receive more than one million visitors a year. Visitors can tour the baths and museum but cannot enter the water.
  • The Jane Austen Centre(Pass by)

Perhaps visit the Jane Austen Visitor Centre (own expense), the small museum that showcases Jane’s work and times in the city. Learn about life in Bath during Regency times, and how it influenced Jane’s stories from the exhibits and in-costume guides.
  • Pulteney Bridge(Pass by)

Our last stop will be a scenic tour of the historic city of Bath, originally built as a place of well-being and relaxation by the Romans over 2,000 years ago. Home to the country’s only natural thermal hot springs, Bath is a delightful city where the ancient world is intertwined with threads of medieval and more recent Georgian history. Our scenic drive of Bath provides an excellent introduction to the major sights of this beautiful city, including Pulteney Bridge, The Assembly Rooms and The Royal Crescent.
  • Free Time to Explore

Afterwards, the time is yours to explore this beautiful city at your own pace. Wander its cobbled streets and explore the markets, or choose to visit the famous Roman Baths* and learn all about their history.

Value for money and efficient. Tour guide Simon was diligent and made sure everything ran smoothly and with a big group sometimes you’d have to be firm without coming across as too militant. Ventilation in the bus was quite poor which was the only grouse maybe because it was quite a full group?
