Matai Peak Experience

Nestled into the coastline of the Pacific Ocean and amongst native forest
valleys, bordered by the Conway River sits Matai Peak – the Luxury Kaikōura
coastal experience. Take a 15-minute Heli flight from Kaikoura to this hidden
gem with the opportunity to upgrade the flight to include a whale watching
experience along the way.

Upon landing at the remote hideaway, relax with a beverage while taking in the
magnificent views. The setting alone will have you relaxed in no time. Once
you have had time to take in the luxurious yet rustic surroundings, enjoy a
light lunch before trying your hand at claybird shooting with a view.
Regardless of your experience level, claybird shooting caters for all ages and
abilities. An enjoyable and rewarding activity for everyone including
beginners.

After lunch, take in the salty sea air as you climb aboard a 4x4 buggy with
the farmer for a full tour of the extraordinary pastures and incredible vistas
of the property, punctuated by stories and anecdotes of their day-to-day
undertaking. This is your opportunity to come face to face with New Zealand’s
finest bred Angus Bulls.

At the end of the tour, stop by Te Mania’s ‘Saloon Bar’ for a refreshment – a
private and quirky bar – full of tradition, memorabilia and history of the
farm, before boarding your helicopter back to Kaikōura again.
