Erosion has progressively sculpted the limestone into the shape of sharp points, the Tsingy. The park can be visited through 8 itineraries of variable length. The Tsingys divide the park into two, a landscape of dry savannah and an evergreen forest. Crossed by numerous gorges and rivers, Ankarana also has the largest network of interconnected underground caves in Africa with a total length of 120km. Some of them can be visited, others are sacred. The caves of Ankarana, as well as the Tsingy, offer a particular habitat for specialized animals and plants. Blind fish, crabs, arachnids and bats. Eleven species of lemur live in the dry forest.
