Was the worst tour I’ve ever been on. The driver was basically not interested in being our guide, didn’t explain to us the itinerary at all. We were brought to tourist trap restaurants which cost 12-20 euros and they even asked for tips. Food was dismal, honestly the tour guide didn’t care. We only went to Ait Ben Haddhou and did the camel track. No other attractions were visited even though the itinerary advertised other places. Totally a scam. We had to do the Ait tour late because the tour guides were overbooked?? Honestly it felt like the driver woke up and planned everything on the day itself. The Ait tour guide didn’t explain much I learnt nothing except that the place is a movie filming location. Time keeping was also ridiculously bad on this trip that a 20 min break became 1 hour, a 60 minute tour of Ait became 40 minutes etc. would not recommend this to anyone. Some of the travellers also upgraded to “luxury tents” which weren’t luxury at all because the toilets were also outside the tents. Please avoid at all costs.
Tour guide Jallal was less of a guide and more of a driver (with road rage and dangerous driving), making plans on the fly with no proper time mangement or communication of the schedule whatsoever. Another guest had to ask nonstop along the journey and kindly communicated to the rest of us. It is alright if there are language barriers but what was appalling was that he simply could not be bothered to even try and communicate so a lot of time was just spent waiting in confusion. He brought us to restaurants which he would be commissioned at (this is normal and fine) but the food was genuinely awful. He did not care about the needs of e.g. the elderly with walking difficulties or the average person in need of a toilet break, and neither did he give time to prepare on our end with the absolute lack of communication and proper response even when asked. The tour also advertises more stops than it actually offers (some just drive past the spot without even a photo opportunity). None of the sites were explained by Jallal and the local tour guides he put us in touch with were equally irresponsible, explaining absolutely nothing while forcing us to enter tourist scam shops.
