Operating for half a century, the Hokkaido crab specialty restaurant 'Kani
Honke' has captivated the taste buds of guests from all over the world with
its exquisite flavors. Kani Honke uses three types of fresh, live crabs caught
in the seas near Japan: King Crab, Horsehair Crab, and authentic Red King Crab
(no Blue King Crabs are used). For dishes like crab sashimi and boiled crab,
we are particularly meticulous about the freshness of the meat. Therefore, we
source our crabs from seawater circulation tanks at the Tomakomai Fishing Port
in Hokkaido. These fresh, live crabs are packaged and shipped directly to our
branches across Japan, with those outside of Hokkaido being transported by
air.
Experience the sweet, fresh taste of crab with our 'Fresh Crab Sashimi' made
from the freshest local Hokkaido crabs, and our Sapporo-exclusive 'Crab
Sushi.' Indulge in our irresistible 'Grilled Crab,' the smooth texture of our
'Crab Tofu,' and our signature 'Crab Marimo.' Enjoy the original, pure flavor
of crab with our 'Boiled Crab,' or try our premium 'Crab Sukiyaki,' specially
prepared for those who prefer their crab cooked. In our various set menus, the
crab sashimi is translucent and melts in your mouth, while the crab leg meat
pops right out when cracked—a delicacy that can only be experienced in
Sapporo, Hokkaido, and specifically at the 'Kani Honke Sapporo Station Main
