II era in Kanchanaburi. Sense the solemn atmosphere of The Kanchanaburi War
Cemetery, the main cemetery for the Allied POWs who died whilst victims of
Japanese imprisonment during the building of the Burma Railway. Take a look at
small artifacts and pictures left from the war at the JEATH museum.
Spend time at the so-called “Bridge on the River Kwai,” one of Thailand's most
important historical landmarks, and take a short train ride alongside the
River Kwai. Finish your day with a jump into the refreshing freshwater of
Erawan Waterfall, or simply enjoy a calming nature walk to end your one-day
tour in Kanchanaburi.
