Located in Kamigahama Park in Beppu City, Sand SPA is the only beach hot
spring facility in Beppu. The history of hot springs can be traced back to the

years. Now it has been restored as a modern hot spring facility, becoming a
new healing landmark in Beppu.
Upon entering the sand bath area, staff will carefully cover your entire body

Beppu Bay unfolds before your eyes. A 15-minute sand bath allows your body to
slowly warm up from the inside out. The facility cleans and heats the sand
beds nine times daily with hot spring water, and a rotating area system
ensures that every guest can enjoy fresh and clean sand.
After the sand bath, rinse off the sand and move to the spacious ocean-facing
public bath. Stretch your limbs in the hot spring and quietly admire the
seamless blend of sea and sky over Beppu Bay. There is also a complimentary
foot bath area outside the facilities, and you can relax in the bar area after
your bath (drinks are available for purchase separately), making your hot
