Pick up anytime from 9am and ride for up to four hours.

Ride at your own pace by hiring an eBike to explore Wellington city and the
surrounding bays. From the centrally located Waterfront to the quiet bays and
panoramic lookouts, you’ll be enthralled from start to finish. These quality
electric bikes are easy to use and suitable for any level of fitness. A
helmet, lock, rear pack and cycle map are included free as part of every
rental.

We can recommend a great half-day route that takes you from our store on the
Wellington Waterfront, around the bays to the Miramar Peninsula and back via a
lookout of the harbour entrance and Mt Victoria lookout. We have a
recommended cafe stop (a local's secret!) with fun atmosphere, outdoor spaces
and one of the best views you'll find.

If you'd like to take in the best visitor attractions of Wellington while
riding, we recommend upgrading to a full-day hire so you have the time to
visit attractions such as Zealandia Sanctuary, Te Papa Museum and Weta
Workshop- your eBikes will become your mode of transport as well as your
activity!

We're centrally located only a 7 min walk from the Wellington iSite (visitor's
information center) and 5 min from Te Papa Museum (NZ's national Museum).

Arriving from a Cruise Ship

Please make your own way to our store. You can either walk or take the ship
operated shuttle bus.

Shuttle Bus to the City (recommended)

Take the port operated Shuttle Bus into the city and walk to our store from
there. Your ship may charge for this service. From the shuttle stop, our store
is a 10-12 min walk.

Walk to our store

It’s a 35min walk to our store. Just follow the waterfront until you reach our
store. The waterfront is a highlight of Wellington and an interesting walk.

Ride Share (Uber and Didi operate in Wellington)

To order a car, you’ll need to leave the port. Walk about 5-6min to where they
can safely stop to pick you up. It’ll cost $10-$20 NZD and take 5-10min.
They’ll drop you off at 22 Herd St. Enter our store from the waterfront side
of that building.

Shorter Ride- Wellington Bays and Chocolate Fish Cafe

Ride Wellington's beautiful coastline to arrive at one of our city's favourite
cafes in an outstanding nature-surrounded location. With stunning views,
landmarks, history and nature- this is our most popular half-day experience.
There are lots of extras and side trips you can add to this route, or keep it
easy!

Time : 2-3 hours including stops. 1-1.5 hours ride time.

What to Bring : Water bottle, sunscreen, extra layer of clothing.

Distance : 20km return

Difficulty : Easy on/off-road riding with hills only if you want them.
Wind can be strong at times.

Things to Know : The route includes shared pedestrian pathways, on-road
cycleways, and quiet low speed roads.

Longer Ride – Wellington Bays and Maupuia Lookout

Take in the coast, the cafe and the gorgeous hills of Miramar. An extension to
the above ride. This includes an extra loop with postcard views and a stunning
lookout. Ride the coast, visit one of our city’s favorite cafes in an
outstanding nature-surrounded location. Then experience the freedom of eBikes
on the way up to the lookout.

Who : Those wanting to try some hills (great on ebikes!) and to catch
some outstanding views.

Time : 3-4 hours

What to Bring : Water bottle, sunscreen, extra layer of clothing.

Distance : 30km

Difficulty : Road riding on quiet streets and some decent climbing.

Things to Know : The route includes shared pedestrian pathways, on-road
cycleways, and quiet low speed roads.



Or go even further : Take a full-day
hire and carry on around the south coast of Wellington along
more beautiful coastal road. Spend time at Weta Cave checking out Wellington’s
movie industry, take in some of the craft breweries in that part of town, or
find the seals at the rugged and remote Red Rocks beach.

To get even further from town, think about hopping on the ferry across the
harbour to Days Bay and Pencarrow Lighthouse Trail - a gorgeous coastal trail
through the harbour mouth via a beautiful seaside village.
