The 2 remarkable features we will spend time upon are the temple's Raja gopuram which is one of the tallest in South India and the Aayiram Kaal Mandapam, or the "hallway with a thousand pillars", which was built by the Vijayanagar Kings During the tour we will talk about the legends and lore surrounding the temple including one about how Lord Shiva tested the dedication of his Queen Godess Parvathi.Kailasanathar Temple
