You will be picked up from the hotel or Quito Airport. We will climb towards the eastern Andes and descend few meters until we reach out an old volcanic caldera. Our first stop will be at 4,000 msl / 13,123 feet to admire the fourth highest volcano in Ecuador (depends on weather conditions). The temperature will vary from 3° – 17° C /37° - 62° F). We will enter the Cayambe-Coca National Park to hike along the trails of the Andean paramo. Some birds could be observed in this beautiful landscape, such as the rufous-bellied seedsnipe or the tawny antbird or the flat-capped ground tyrant. We will enjoy a special moment in the high Andes. Later, at the Papallacta Hot Springs, you will have the opportunity to simply relax, rest, take a shower or book a therapeutic massage. Finally, we back to the hotel. The best days to visit this place are Monday to Friday. Also, Saturday and Sunday although you will find more visitors.
