After you complete a booking on Pelago, your booking may be confirmed straight away or take a little time to process, depending on the activity and any checks required by our experience partners.
Don’t worry if you don’t receive your confirmation immediately! Below, we’ll walk you through what to expect and what to do next.
Types of Booking Confirmation
There are two types of booking confirmation on Pelago:
Instant Confirmation
Some activities offer instant confirmation
Your booking is confirmed shortly after payment
You’ll receive a confirmation email with your voucher attached as a PDF
Manual Confirmation
Some activities require additional checks by our experience providers.
Your booking will be reviewed within the stated confirmation period (usually 24–72 hours)
Once confirmed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the PDF voucher attached
How do I know how long my booking takes to confirm?
The most accurate confirmation time is shown under the option you selected at checkout
We recommend referring to the email notification sent to your booking email after the booking is made, as it shows the expected confirmation timeframe for your specific booking.
If You See “We’ve Received Your Booking”
This page means your booking is under review. No action is needed, just hang tight!
Your booking will either be confirmed (you’ll get a voucher) or cancelled if the activity is unavailable.
Why Your Confirmation Might Be Delayed
Even after booking, confirmations can sometimes take longer, depending on the product and verification steps. Common reasons include:
Additional verification required by our partners
Processing checks on your booking
Changes to the booking status
General Guidelines:
Instant confirmation: Usually confirmed immediately after your make the booking, and a voucher is sent
Manual confirmation: Typically up to 72 hours for most bookings
Ferry bookings: Confirmation usually takes up to 48 hour
You can also refer to your notification email, as some bookings require additional processing time. If you see a message such as: “Your voucher will be sent to you within [X] hours / days / minutes", this means your booking is still being processed. No action is needed during this time.
If the Activity Is Unavailable
Sometimes, our experience providers need to review your booking further. In some cases, this may mean the activity is no longer available.
If this happens, your booking won’t be confirmed and will be automatically cancelled.
Any payment you made will be reversed, and authorization holds will be released.
