This could be due to an authorisation hold.
What is an Authorisation Hold?
An authorisation hold is a temporary hold placed on your debit or credit card when you make a purchase.
Depending on your card issuer, this may appear as either:
A deduction on your statement, or
A reduction in your available balance
The hold remains in place until your booking is confirmed.
If Your Booking is Not Confirmed
If your booking expires or is rejected, the authorisation hold will be automatically released.
You may see this reflected as:
A refund on your card, or
A restored balance in your account
Please note: This process can take up to 7 business days, depending on your bank’s processing time.
It May Look Like a Double Charge, But It’s Not
In some cases, it may appear that you’ve been charged twice.
However, no payment will be collected if your booking is not confirmed.
Only confirmed bookings result in an actual charge to your account.
