Why are these charges applied?
These charges may be required by local authorities or imposed by the hotel. The type and amount will vary depending on the hotel and destination.
Why are they not included in my Pelago payment?
Some taxes and fees must be collected directly by the hotel, so they cannot be included in the amount paid to Pelago.
When this information is provided to us in advance, the charges will be shown under “What’s excluded?” before you complete your booking. After booking, you can also find these charges on your booking voucher.
If the hotel asks you to pay a charge that was not shown or you are unsure what it is for, request a breakdown or receipt from the hotel and contact Pelago Support with your booking ID.
